CTC Students Compete in Food Tasting Event Benefiting New Choices
February 16, 2015 (Lancaster, PA) – What’s the recipe for success? Culinary Arts students at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center hope to find out as they compete for the best sweet and savory dishes at the 5th annual Taste of Success while New Choices graduates share about their story.
Members of the community are invited to taste the dishes, vote on their favorites, hear from New Choices graduates and learn more about the program. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. March 27, 2015 at the Willow Valley Communities Cultural Center and benefits New Choices Lancaster.
New Choices Lancaster is a career development program for women going through a transitional period in their lives. The program offers free career development and computer classes to help build the skills they need to gain employment to sustain themselves and their families.
The event is hosted by The Lancaster County Career & Technology Foundation, The Junior League of Lancaster, Franklin & Marshall College, YWCA Lancaster and Millersville University. Tickets can be purchased online at www.NewChoicesLancaster.org.
New Choices Lancaster is dedicated to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds achieve economic self-sufficiency through job readiness, education, training and employment. New Choices Lancaster provides services at no cost to qualified applicants. The program has served more than 5,000 women over the past 29 years to establish a career.
